CSPEN is so excited to announce that Representative Lisa McClain (R-MI) has confirmed her participation as a Keynote Speaker on Tuesday, February 11 at CSPEN’s 7th Annual Higher Education Policy Meeting (HEPM)!

Many of you will recall Representative McClain’s dynamic exchange during our 9th Annual Conference and rousing presentation at last year’s 6th Annual HEPM in which Congresswoman McClain shared her insights as a member of the House Committee on Education & the Workforce, House Budget Committee and Chairwoman of the House Oversight and Accountability Subcommittee on Health Care & Financial Services.

Heading into the new 119th Congress, Congresswoman McClain has been elected by her colleagues to serve as the House Republican Conference Chair – a member of the House GOP leadership and fourth most senior Republican in the U.S. House of Representatives and highest-ranking woman in Congress.

While accepting this new role within the Republican leadership, Congresswoman McClain has already confirmed her commitment to remain on the House Education & the Workforce Committee.

Congresswoman Lisa McClain proudly represents Michigan’s 9th District in the United States House of Representatives.

For the 118th Congress, Congresswoman McClain was elected by her colleagues to serve in Leadership as Secretary of the House Republican Conference.

Congresswoman McClain has spent her time in Congress championing issues that impact her home State of Michigan as well as the entire country. Policy areas like agriculture, economics, financial services, national defense, homeland security, immigration, healthcare, and veterans affairs are just a few of the issues Rep. McClain passionately works on each day in Congress.

She currently serves as the Chairwoman of the House Oversight and Accountability Subcommittee on Health Care & Financial Services. The Congresswoman is also a proud member of the House Armed Services Committee, the Committee on Education and the Workforce, and the House Budget Committee.

Prior to serving in Congress, Lisa spent more than 30 years building and growing a top-tier business from the ground up. She has firsthand knowledge from the private sector that she uses to advocate for important issues on behalf of her constituents. Lisa is proud to serve and work for the people of Michigan’s 9th District.

Lisa lives in Romeo with her husband Mike, four kids and dog, Peanut.
