Department Notifies Institutional Community Of Return to BDR Adjudication Detailing the Repayment and Recoupment Processes Moving Forward

For the past three weeks institutions of higher education have been receiving new batches of BDR claims from the U.S. Department of Education for review and institutional comment prior to assessment and determinations by the Department.
CSPEN shared on last week’s webinar details that the Department has shared with us that the new BDR claims were from applications not part of the Sweet vs. McMahon settlement. As part of our update we noted that the anticipated announcement of more detailed information on the latest efforts to address the inventory of BDR claims.
